How to Start a Food Blog

The three steps of a food blog:
  1. Domain Name and Hosting
  2. Installing WordPress
  3. Good Content

1. Domain Name and Hosting

What do you want your domain name to be? I recommend you a .com domain name. Brainstorm as many different ideas as possible. Once you have thought of some possibilities head to Bluehost to see if your domain name is available by entering it in the box that looks like below. You’ll also need to host your domain name, that's like renting space on the web to display your blog. The Bluehost has great rates (Professional Web Hosting for $4.95/mo.) and gives you your domain name for free if you decide to host with them.

2. Installing WordPress

Once you hosting at Bluehost, you will need to go through the process of installing WordPress. WordPress is best and easy to use blogging software. Here's a great video about how to install Wordpress on your Bluehost account.

3. Good content

At this point, you officially have your own food blog! You are minutes away from sharing your famous cookie recipe with the world. WordPress has tons of free WordPress themes to pick from. You can scan through the options here: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/

Once you've installed the best theme for you, you've only one thing to do: share your best cookie, soup, pasta recipes with the world (and of course with me).

Make a Facebook Page for your blog and invite your friends to this page. If you have already a Pinterest account, you can share the recipes in your board or in a community board of recipes.
